The RX-8 and 350Z went on to achieve vast popularity with the enthusiast and aftermarket communities in Japan as well as the U.S.. The RX-8 has been regarded by the press as one of the best balanced and handling sports cars of all time. In addition, the RX-8 has a very sizable and dedicated following. It was also significant as the RX-8 revived the rotary engine for Mazda in the US.
