Nelly Furtado: Night Is Young, nueva canción y letra. Primer single de su nuevo recopilatorio

Ya conocemos el título del nuevo disco de Nelly Furtado y, tras varias especulaciones, se llamará finalmente The Best Of Nelly Furtado. Sí, la misma cara he puesto yo al enterarme que las filtraciones de días pasados correspondían a un disco recopilatorio que tendrá como primer single el inédito Night Is Young.

Primero se filtró como una demo titulada Free y, posteriormente, supimos gracias auna supuesta portada oficial que se titularía What You Want to Do (The Night Is Young), aunque el tema que acaba de estrenar la BBC se llama únicamente Night Is Young. Como era de esperar, se trata de un tema bailable, con tintes dance, pegadizo, pero poco original.

Nelly Furtado con este greatest hits recopilará sus diez años de carrera, en los que ha vendido más de veinte millones de discos. Aparte de sus conocidos hit mundiales, la canadiense incluirá tres temas nuevos. Junto a este primer single, encontraremos un tema producido por Salaam Remi titulado Girlfriend y otro por Lester Mendez llamado Stars. El 15 de noviembre a la venta.

Brandon Flowers: Only The Young, nuevo videoclip y letra

Crossfire, el que fue primer videoclip en solitario de Brandon Flowers sin The Killers, ya tiene sucesor. El tema escogido como segundo single de su disco debut Flamingo ha sido finalmente Only The Young, uno de mis predilectos.

Para esta ocasión, ha dejado de lado los sucesivos rescates por parte de la guapísima Charlize Theron en los que se basaba Crossfire, para mostrarnos una propuesta totalmente diferente. En lugar de la sudafricana, este tema cuenta con los nombres del omnipresente Stuart Price en la producción y, en el videoclip, la dirección de la prestigiosa Sophie Muller.

Como si de un viaje a un imaginario mundo Cirque du Soleil vemos a Brandon Flowers rodeado de trapecistas y acróbatas que contrastan con imágenes suyas en solitario. Bajo una nebulosa abstracta, pero impactante, el videoclip se mueve entre ambientes espaciales, mágicos de cuento de hadas, bolas de discotecas y donde la naturaleza tiene un protagonismo claro. A pesar de que ciertos contrastes puedan chirriar, me parece un gran vídeo.
